Transatlantic Currents: Organ concert by Damin Spritzer
Presented in association with St Andrews Organ Week.
Associate Professor of Organ at the University of Oklahoma, and with a string of ecstatically reviewed CDs of 19th and 20th century music to her name, Damin Spritzer performs a concert of British and American repertoire by composers including Searle Wright, George Baker, Herbert Howells and Harvey Grace.
Following solo appearances at venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles and on historic organs across Europe, Damin Spritzer’s transatlantic programme will fit the 1923 Harrison & Harrison organ at the Caird Hall, one of the world’s greatest late-Romantic concert instruments, like a glove.
