Events 105 invites you to a truly ROTTEN night…

Always outspoken, controversial and sincere, JOHN LYDON, has secured a prime position as one of the most recognisable icons in the annals of music history.

Via his music and invective, he spearheaded a generation of young people across the world who were clamouring for change--and found it in the style and attitude of this most unlikely figurehead. So revolutionary was his influence, he was even discussed in the Houses of Parliament, under the Traitors and Treasons Act, which still carries the death penalty.

As Johnny Rotten, he was the lead singer of the Sex Pistols— a band that needs zero introduction. After this, John Lydon formed post-punk originators Public Image Ltd (PiL). Widely regarded as one of the most innovative bands of all time, their music and vision earned them 5 UK Top 20 Singles and 5 UK Top 20 Albums.

On Thursday 30th August, Events 105 invites you to a truly ROTTEN night at the Whitehall Theatre in DUNDEE.

The Public Image is ROTTEN - An Evening with John Lyon

Join us at this truly unique and one-off event where we will be welcoming John to the stage to intimately converse about everything from his beginnings as a sickly child of immigrant Irish parents who grew up in post-war London, to his present status as a vibrant, alternative national hero!

Never one to hold back, expect John to be outspoken, controversial, heartfelt and honest as he takes centre stage as the cultural commentator the world expects him to be. John will also be taking questions from the crowd before a signing session. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to get up close and personal with one of Britain’s most iconic and compelling characters.

Love him or loathe him, everyone will certainly agree there’s only one John Lydon. This will be the only show of it's kind in Scotland - DO NOT MISS OUT!
